Road to Phuket: 3 Days 2 Nights |
This tour ventures to the unspoiled rural floating market of Dumnuen Saduak, situated 110 km west of Bangkok. This authentic floating market is a glimpse into Thailand’s past when locally grown produce was typically sold along the many rivers of Thailand. Then continue to Hua Hin, the sunrise-side coastal town at the Gulf of Thailand. Visit the renovated Summer Palace Marukatayawan, which is made out of golden teak wood and enjoy sightseeing along the way to Ranong and Phuket. In the south you will enjoy lush tropical islands, coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life and picturesque fishing villages with distinctive hand-painted boats. The South of Thailand is certain to be an unforgettable experience.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Bangkok - Damnern Saduak - Hua Hin
In the early morning we will pick you up at your hotel for departure to Damnern Saduak. Our first stop is at a local coconut sugar farm, where we can see the processing of natural coconut sugar. By long tail boat we continue along greenery canals, where you visit the colorful Floating market, where women vendors still can be seen paddling their boats, loaded with all kinds of fruit and vegetables. After this market we will proceed to Petchaburi and visit the Khao Luang cave with its highly revered Buddha images that are lined up at the foot of the rock wall. Then we climb uphill to see King Mongkut's Summer Palace (closed on Monday/Tuesdays and public holidays), Wat Maha That and the monkey temple. Hereafter we continue to Hua Hin, the sunrise-side coastal town at the Gulf of Thailand.

Day 2: Hua Hin - Ranong
Today, after visiting the renovated Summer Palace Marukatayawan, which is made out of golden teak wood, we will continue to Prachuap Kiri Khan. After lunch we visit Khao Chong Krajok, located at an idyllic bay and flanked by mountaintops. There we climb up 386 steps to a small pagoda located on the top of the hill and enjoy the beautiful panorama of this quiet fishing town. Then we proceed to Ranong. On the route we stop at the Punyaban waterfall.

Day 3: Ranong - Phang Na – Phuket
After visiting the busy fishing pier, we will take a short boat trip to Victoria point, the southernmost point in Myanmar. Then we continue to Phang Nga by long tail boat through one of the most stunning parts of Thailand, Phang Nga Bay. Hundreds of odd-shaped limestone formations rise from the water, often covered with tropical vegetations; some of them are just tiny rocks, others larger islands.
Lunch will be held at a local seafood restaurant in the Muslim village of Koh Panyi, which is built on stilts, out in the open sea. Hereafter we continue forwards to Phuket hotel or airport.
