This is a grand tour of cultural heritage in and around Bangkok. You will visit the most beautiful temples, palaces and sights in the area. This is also your chance to travel back through time into the history and culture of The Kingdom of Siam with the unforgettable experience of the "Siam Niramit" performance. You will be taken to the colorful Floating market at Damnuen Saduak. See Bangkok by bicycle and take a trip to the "Death Railway" and "Bridge over the River Kwai" in Kanchanaburi. End of the trip by shopping in several world class shopping centers in Bangkok. An absolute unique experience!
Itinerary:
Day 1: Bangkok
Pick-up from your hotel in Bangkok. Our first visit goes to Suan Pakkad Palace. This palace is a group of five traditional teak houses and was originally the home of Prince and Princess Chumbhot. At this moment the houses are converted into a museum with private collections Khmer sculpture, pottery from the Bronze Age and the lacquered murals inside each edifice depict scenes from Buddha's life and the Ramakien. We continue to Jim Thompson's house, one of the best-preserved traditional Thai houses in Bangkok and finest museum in Thailand. The entrepreneurial American revived the art of Thai silk weaving.
In the evening we visit a world class performance in the third largest theatre in the world with amazing 65 meter panoramic stage, a cast of 120 actors supported by 100 backstage technicians, spectacular scenery, customs and musical scores, with special effects using theatre magic and state of art technology. Then we travel back through time into the history and culture of The Kingdom of Siam and we look at an unforgettable show of a World performance, "Siam Niramit". Before the show we have a dinner

Day 2: Bangkok
In the morning we visit the largest fruit and vegetable market of Thailand, "Pak Klong Talat". Then we continue to visit the highlight of Bangkok, like "The Grand Palace", a must for every visitor, who visits Bangkok. In its compounds we visit the most holy Buddha image, "The Emerald Buddha" and other residences as Royal guest house, the funeral place and the throne hall.
After lunch we visit The Vimanmek Palace, which was built in 1900 by the Royal command of King Rama V. This Mansion was his summer Palace. The Mansion has not been used as a Royal Residence but only as a storage place for the Royal household for the past 50 years. Now is the mansion a museum. Vimanmek Palace is the world's largest golden teakwood house.

Day 3: Bangkok
Today we visit Bangkok's China Town with many small streets and alleys full of shops selling all kind of products. We stroll around the local Chinese market where all sorts of local and exotic goods are offered. Then we visit a "Chinese temple", The Golden Dragon Temple and "Wat Traimit", also called the Temple of The Golden Buddha. Un the "Wat Traimit" houses you will find the world's largest solid gold Buddha. The 13th century Sukothai image is made of 18-carat gold and weights five tons.
After lunch you will make a trip by long tail boat on the mighty Kings River, "Chao Phraya River". This way you will explore Bangkok by boat over the Chao Phraya River along the many klongs (canals), which is the most exciting way of experiencing life in Bangkok and to see why Bangkok is called the "Venice of the East". We stop the stunning Temple of Dawn, "Wat Arun". Our last visit is at Wat Po, the oldest temple of Bangkok with the largest reclining Buddha of 46 meters long.

Day 4: Bangkok - Floating market –Bangkok
In the early morning we will depart to Damnern Saduak. On the way we will stop at a local coconut sugar farm to see the processing of natural coconut sugar. Then we will continue by long tail boat along greenery canals, where you visit the colorful Floating market. At this market woman vendors still can be seen paddling their boats loaded with all kinds of fruit and vegetables.
Lunch will be served in the Rose Garden, a well-manicured garden. In the afternoon we join a show of culture with traditional Thai dancing, ancient sword fighting, a Thai wedding, the ordination of a monk and Thai boxing. The Thai village shows flowers, fruit carving, basket weaving and other craft. On the way back to Bangkok we visit Nakhon Pathom and visit the tallest Buddhist monument "Chedi" in the world with 120 m in height.

Day 5: Bangkok
In the morning we start with a wonderful bicycle tour. Biking in a metropolis with million cars! No problem! It is possible! We will actually hardly see any cars. An absolute unique experience! See Bangkok by bicycle, how it used to be 30 years ago. Cycle along the klongs (canals), through small living communities, along fruit plantations, local schools, markets and temples. Make contact with the local people and notice that suddenly you become the attraction. After the tour you will be dropped off at a shopping center or hotel.

Day 6: Bangkok - Bang Pa In - Ayutthaya - Bangkok
We depart by minivan from Bangkok to visit fascinating tourist attractions as Bang Pa In Palace, the summer palace of Thai monarchs since the 17th century. The palace has a charming collection of pavilions in variety of Thai, Chinese, Italian and Victorian architectural styles, surrounded by beautiful garden and water. By long tail boat we will visit the ancient capital, "Ayutthaya", which was the capital for more than 400 years until its destruction in 1767 by the Burmese soldiers. Here we visit three important temples: "Wat Chawathanaram" is occupying a magnificent position on the west bank of the Chao Praya River, "Wat Phra Sri Sanphet" and ruins in the middle of the old capital and the giant bronze status at Wat Mongkol Borpith. Then we return to Bangkok.

Day 7: Bangkok - River Kwai - Bangkok
In the morning we depart to Bangkok Noi train station for an open train ride over Thailand - Burmese railway, the "Death Railway" to Kanchanaburi. We will sit among the local people. During the trip you will be served all the time! In these trains it is allowed that local people can sell their products as fried chicken on a stick, soft drinks and souvenirs. An unforgettable experience!
Around 11.00 am we arrive at the famous Bridge over the river Kwai, where we take a walk and taste the atmosphere of the Kwai River. We continue to visit JEATH war museum to view a realistic replica of a prisoner of war's living quarter containing sketches, and photographs describing life in the camps. Hereafter we visit the war cemetery, the final resting place for over 6.000 allied prisoners of war. After lunch we visit Sai Yok Noi waterfall for relaxing and bathing. If there is time left, we will visit "Hellfire pass".

Day 8: Bangkok
All day at leisure for shopping in the several large shopping centers as: Emporium, Gaysorn, M.B.K, World Trade Center, Phratunam and The Pride of Siam Paragon.
