This package has been designed in collaboration with Manathai Village Boutique Hotel. The 5 day package has a nice mix of many of the favorite Chiang Mai activities and a good amount of free time for exploring or just relaxing and taking it easy. This itinerary will take you to handicrafts villages, elephant camp, white water rafting, cooking school, Doi Suthep Temple, a half day at the spa… and more.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Pick up at Chiang Mai International Airport and transfer to The Manathai Village Boutique Hotel. Lunch will be at your hotel.
In the afternoon we will take you to the handicraft village at Ban Ton Pao where several village households make Saa Paper from the bark of the mulberry tree. You will then see Ban Bo Sang, where souvenirs fill the small shops that line both sides of the main street. Traditionally the umbrellas are made in the cool spaces beneath the raised houses.
Dinner: Mae Ping River Cruise, take a cruise along the Mae Ping River. An exotic boat takes you to relax and enjoy a smooth cruise along the Ping River and experience the enchanting magic of a Chiang Mai night.

Day 2: Breakfast at Hotel
Pick up from hotel, drive up to Northern route to Mae Tang area. At the elephant camp, have a fun-filled elephant ride through the jungle and along the riverside. Then continue by mountain bike about 10km. from the local village through sub-tropical forest.
After lunch and a short break, our guide will provide some instruction about paddling and river safety trip on the Mae Tang River. Then the afternoon adventure will take you over the exhilarating white water rapids of the Mae Tang.
After some relaxation and refreshment at the finish point, take a 1.5 hour drive back to Manathai. Dinner will be at your hotel.

Day 3: Breakfast at your hotel and then you will be off to learn the secrets to Thai cooking in a serene country setting. After a short visit to a local market, you will go to a local farm where many different kinds of herbs, vegetables and fruit are cultivated organically. Pick fresh ingredients and cook your favorite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, where each person gets his own cooking station. Finally enjoy eating your meal on the terrace over the pond where you have a splendid view of the farm and the mountains.
After returning to your hotel you will have time to relax and freshen up before you are transported to your evening meal and entertainment. This evening you will be part of a Northern Traditional Khantoke dinner. "Khan" actually means bowl and "toke" refers to a small, low, round floor table. Diners sit on the floor around the table and share numerous dishes while watching spectacular shows and fabulous northern classical dances.

Day 4: Breakfast at Hotel and you will have a morning to explore the city. In early afternoon you will be scheduled for a special spa experience.
4 hours at Oasis Spa: Lanna Explorer spa treatment - This spa experience will take you places in body, mind and spirit that few have gone before. It begins with the Thai Herbal Steam to cleanse underlying stress and prepare you for a purifying Body Scrub, an exfoliation using the perfect product of your choice. Next, for two solid hours, the body's matrix and energy lines are revitalized with the massaging and stretching techniques of the King of Oasis massage. Finally, you will experience a stimulating Thai Facial. Beware, after this four hour treatment people may not recognize the relaxed and powerful....more regal you.
Dinner at The Manathai and more leisure time in the afternoon.

Day 5: Breakfast at hotel, then check out at Manathai and we will depart on a private half day tour of Doi Suthep Temple. This is the beautiful mountain top temple to the west of Chiang Mai. Wat Doi Suthep is one of the most celebrated temples in all of Thailand and you will enjoy stunning temples, peaceful natural surroundings and fantastic mountain top views of Chiang Mai and Chiang Mai countryside.
You will stop for a relaxing lunch and then will be transported back to the Chiang Mai airport.
