This popular package features the most visited northern Thailand must-sees, ranging from ancient temples in Chiang Mai to a shopping bazaar in Chiang Rai. Apart from visiting the most revered golden Doi Suthep temple on a side of a mountain overlooking a panoramic view of Chiang Mai, you will retreat from the city to see elephants draw paintings amid lush forests, ride on an ox-drone cart across rice paddies and fill your lung with fresh air whilst sitting on a bamboo raft along a river. After visiting tribal villages to see the eccentric long-neck Karen who enclose their necks with brass rings, you will get on a four-hour cruise to Chiang Rai, the northernmost province in Thailand to visit the gorgeous Royal floral garden in Doi Tung and enjoy shopping sprees at the Thai-Burma border bazaar.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Chiang Mai - Three Kings - Wat Doi Suthep - Hmong
Meet you at the Chiang Mai airport and transfer to the hotel in the city. You can relaxing and enjoy your lunch until 13:00 pm,we will pick you up from the hotel and then drive into the old city of Chiang Mai surrounded by the ancient moat to visit the historical site at the Three Kings Monument. There, you will learn the history of the Lanna Kingdom and Chiang Mai. Later, we’ll drive t the west of the city to Wat Doi Suthep, the most revered golden temple, located on the side of a mountain where you can see the best view of Chiang Mai. After an hour walking and learning about Buddhism there, we’ll continue driving to the top of the mountain to visit Hmong hill tribe village. You will enjoy a charming view of the forest and fresh air whilst walking around this village for one hour and then returning to your hotel around 17:00 pm

Day 2: Elephant Camp - Rafting - Orchids - Thaton
08:00 am After breakfast, we will drive to visit Wat Pa Darapirom, a temple of monks in brown robe, an orchid Farm, and an elephant camp in the north of Chiang Mai. At the camp, you will enjoy seeing elephant babies, an elephant show with training and working for one hour. After the shows, you will ride on an elephant across the river and into the forest for half an hour and then return to the camp passing rice fields by an oxcart. Lunch will be served at the riverside restaurant before taking a mini-adventure with the Bamboo Rafting along the river for one hour. Later, we will drive to visit the big cave in Chiang Dao and continue driving to Thaton. Check in at the fascinating resort in Thaton.

Day 3: Thaton Viewpoint - Long Neck - Tribal Villages – Chiang Rai
08:00 am, After breakfast, we will visit Akha village and Long Neck Karen where there are women who enclose their necks with brass rings. Afterward we return to Thaton for lunch, and then take an unforgettable four hour trip by boat to Chiang Rai, stopping on the way at Lisu and Akha villages. Check in at the hotel in Chiang Rai about 17:00 pm

Day 4: Doi Tung - Mae Sai - Golden Triangle – Chiang Rai
After breakfast, we will drive up on the mountain to visit Doi Tung, built by the Princess Mother of King Rama IX. You can walk around her flower garden and inside her palace. From there, we’ll drive to Mae Sai, the northernmost point of Thailand, at the Burmese border. We will walk around this trading post center for 30 minutes. In the afternoon, we will visit the meeting point of three countries: Thailand, Laos and Burma which is infamous with opium in the old days. You will learn story of the Golden Triangle at the House of Opium. Later, we will drive to Wat Rongkoon, a white-colored temple designed by a famous artist in Thailand. We will transfer to Chiang Rai airport in the late afternoon.
