This 2 day adventure is designed for the adventurer who has limited time for a trekking journey yet would like to experience a good cross section of activities. This adventure has been designed to include a range of activities so you can make the most of your time and still boast that you have trekked the jungles North of Chiang Mai. You will see caves, long neck hill tribe people, waterfalls, hot springs, mountain scenery and the beautiful Mae Tang River. This journey will has hiking, elephant safari, bamboo rafting, and an evening at a local hill tribe village. You will meet new people, make new friends and be taken on an exciting journey by our experienced English speaking guide.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Leave Chiang Mai by truck for the 2 hour drive along the mountain range North of Chiang Mai. The drive through the plains and rice fields turns into a winding road and beautiful mountain scenery as we head to Chiang Dao cave and the Karen Longneck Village. The remainder of the morning will be spent exploring the caves and interacting with the Karen people and then we will lunch at the Mok Fha Waterfalls after a short stop at a local market.
From the falls, we continue along our route to a natural mineral water hot springs. The journey will continue from here on foot as we embark on an approximately 3 hour hike to a remote hill tribe Village (Pang Pa Ka village) where you will visit with and overnight with these tribe people in their natural surroundings. Dinner of local cuisine and camp style accommodation will be provided at the village.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: After breakfast, we will proceed on an elephant trek for about 1.5 hrs. through the forest to the rafting camp. Once the bamboo rafts are constructed and made ready to go, you will proceed on a most enjoyable bamboo-rafting adventure for 1.5 hrs. along the Mae Tang river. The rafting will take us to the end of the journey where the truck will be waiting to transport us back to Chiang Mai and back to your hotel.

Additional Information : Bring some cover for hot springs bathing and comfortable footwear.
