Mae Sa elephant camp, Orchid farm, 3 waterfalls in 3 National Parks, Doi Suthep Temple.
In the lush sub-tropical jungle of Chiang Mai's Mae Sa Valley, a big family of elephants lives side by side with their mahout caretakers. With about 65 elephants ranging from 1 years old to 53 years old, the "Mae Sa Elephant Camp" is home to one of the largest assemblies of elephants in Thailand.

The philosophy here is to create a natural and healthy environment for the elephants while working to conserve and breed them, an effort that is in response to the dwindling number of Asian elephants left in the wild. These elephants will amuse and amaze you with their range of talents from football to fine art. This is a trip that you will not soon forget and should be on your must see list of things to do in Northern Thailand.

The rest of the day is no less special with an opportunity to visit 3 sets of waterfalls, lunch at a hidden treasure of a boutique resort, stop in at an orchid farm and take the journey up to Chiang Mai’s most famous temple – Doi Suthep.

Itinerary:
This trip requires an early start. We will pick you up at your Chiang Mai hotel at 08:00-08:30 am for the 40 minute drive North to the Mae Sa area. In the morning we will take in the elephant camp and visit an orchid farm. At the elephant camp, a half hour elephant ride will be optional. We will then visit Mae Sa waterfalls and hike along the lower sets of falls before we move on to lunch.

Lunch will be at a hidden gem of a boutique resort set far back from the main road and on the banks of a cascading falls. Then we will enter another National Park to view the spectacular Tad Mok Waterfalls.

Then, we will take the journey up the mountain to Doi Suthep, visit another National Park and the Mon Tha Than Waterfall. Then it is up to the infamous Wat Doi Suthep for a relaxing tour of this magnificent temple and an afternoon viewing of Chiang Mai city as seen from the mountain top. After this full day we will return you to your hotel with your camera and your mind full of lasting memories.

Note: As this is a private tour you will of course be provided the flexibility to alter the agenda to suit your desire. This may happen if, for example you decided to hike the full length of the Mae Sa waterfalls and take in Doi Suthep on another day. On our private tours our agenda is only a guideline.

Additional Information : Price per person includes guide, transportation, meals and admission fees. Try to remember appropriate clothing for the temple (can rent for low cost if needed). This is a day full of photo opportunities!
