1 Day Elephant Safari and Chiang Dao Cave

This one day soft adventure will take you North of Chiang Mai to the Mae Taman (Mae Tang) Elephant camp for elephant show, elephant ride, ox-cart riding and Thai buffet lunch. We will then proceed on to Chiang Dao for a tour of the famous Chiang Dao Caves. Then it is on to a Hmong Hill Tribe village for a visit with these unique people. Then we will return to Chiang Mai, with a stop at an orchid farm to end the day.

Itinerary:
The day will begin at about 08:00 am when we pick you up at your hotel by air conditioned coach and travel to the elephant camp where you will see the elephant show and take a one hour elephant ride followed by an ox-cart ride through the camp, a buffet style lunch and bamboo rafting. Then we will proceed to Chiang Dao to visit to the famous Chiang Dao caves where you will be able to explore and learn about the cultural significance of the caves.

From the caving experience we will go on to a Hmong Village where you will have a chance to greet the villagers and get a sense of their unique lifestyle. Then we will head back to Chiang Mai and, time permitting, will stop off at an orchid farm where you will be able to see tens of thousands of blooms and hundreds of varieties of this lovely species. Then we will return you to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
